Tonight the Delivering Happiness Bus will set out for the city named happiest in the nation: Boulder, Colorado. Not only are we rolling in and stopping by, but hanging out! Join us this Sunday, August 29, from 3 – 8 PM MST, in downtown Boulder’s Central Park for outdoor games, a book signing by author Tony Hsieh, and live music, with all proceeds going to local non-profit, First Descents. Last week, radio journalist and host of American Public Radio’s Marketplace, Kai Ryssdal, toured Zappos’ Henderson, Las Vegas headquarters. Author Tony Hsieh had the opportunity to later sit down with Ryssdal to talk happiness, corporate culture and his #1 New York Times Bestseller, Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose. Missed the livestream of the Delivering Happiness Bus Launch Happy Hour? If so, we have to be honest, you missed a lot. Three-plus hours of a lot to be exact.

We kicked off our virtual Happy Hour toasting and talking with guests Ray Pawlikowski, president of HotSchedules, YouTuber extraordinaire Mr. Arturo Trejo (yep, the same guy responsible for this), and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman. Las Vegas, happiness and even showgirls were just a few of the topics touched upon. We were soon joined by legendary pro skater, Tony Hawk, executive producer David Pritchard, comedian Matt Donnelly, and Ian Green of Bootleg Canyon Flightlines.

And can you believe that was only the start of our Happy Hour?

We then took the Happy Hour mobile with a tour inside of the Delivering Happiness Bus and the Launch party. We gave a glimpse into the newly remodeled bus, the crew’s sleeping quarters and showed off the signature, winking grill of the 47’ bus.

On the tour of the launch party we met a baby giraffe named Stanley, took live streaming to a whole new level, literally, by streaming live from a ride on the launch party’s ferris wheel and even a spin down a zip line.

Seven weeks since the launch of Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion And Purpose and 18 days before the Delivering Happiness Bus Tour hits the road, we’re excited to announce that Delivering Happiness is still #2 on the New York Times Bestseller List and #3 on the USA TODAY list for the week of August 8.

But that’s not all the news we have. This week we can announce that Delivering Happiness will soon be available in Hebrew! The Hebrew edition of Delivering Happiness will be available starting July 2012.

These last few weeks the Delivering Happiness bus has been at an ultra top secret location getting a happiness overhaul. Alright, so maybe it’s just in Las Vegas. Last week the bus became a little bit more social savvy when it got its very own Twitter account, and this weekend it was wrapped in signature Delivering Happiness baby-blue, but that’s another blog post. (Literally, stay tuned for the blog post this week.)

This week brought two very big things for the bus: a schedule of tour stops and its very own domain, deliveringhappinessbus.com! We were so excited to announce the bus website, that we couldn’t even wait until it was fully complete. Although just two pages for now, on the full site you’ll be able to view the bus’ location, get to know the bus team, read and watch what happens on tour, and much more.

So, where are we headed and when?

The bus will official hit the road on August 25 with stops in Chicago, New York, Boston, Orlando, Los Angeles and Seattle just to name a few.
